The Seint's Christmas CTF — Part 4

Having learnt the painful lesson of trusting The Seint’s clues to the letter in Part 3, I decided to pay more attention when reading the clue for Part 4:

A whole week passed and I got another message from my friend: "I know you like puzzles, so I'm going to give you a clue about my next location, but first I have to tell you where I am right now. I moved to a country where I can really get The Sun. I am standing on a bridge between two towers and have a glass floor below me. It's incredible that I can actually see a ship sailing below me. I think someone said they're going to post it on Twitter today. The name of the place I'm travelling to next is where the ship is from."

Make a hash of the ship's country name (remember to make it lowercase first) to get the password for this step.

PS, If you want to go back to the beginning of this walkthrough, you can find it here. Spoilers ahead!

The first thing I noticed is that The Sun is capitalised. Maybe living in the UK is an advantage, but that jumped out at me as a hint that The Seint’s friend is talking about the UK. Unfortunately, despite being a terrible publication, The Sun is still one of Britain’s bestselling ‘news’papers. And I’m pretty sure that when thinking about the UK, and a bridge between two towers, we will all be thinking of Tower Bridge? Despite having walked over the bridge several times (and run over it during the London Marathon), I had no idea that it features a glass floor, but sure enough, here it is on the upper deck:

Glass floor at Tower Bridge

Having decided to trust The Seint on dates too, I realised that we were talking about 8th August 2022. And thanks to Twitter Advanced Search, I was soon able to find what The Seint’s friend was referring to:

tower bridge until:2022-08-09 since:2022-08-07

Which led to tweets like this:

It should be fairly obvious what country the Götheborg is from, but it has its own Wikipedia page if you need to check!

Hashing that country (in lower case, of course) gets us into Step 5!

Takeaway

No obvious takeaway today, but if you want a good guide to Twitter search operators, you’re unlikely to find anything more comprehensive than Twitter’s own reference to search Standards.
